Mia Cochran, a junior at Moon Area High in Pennsylvania, finished ninth in the girls championship race at the XC Town USA Meet of Champions, presented by The Garrett Companies. Cochran covered the 5-kilometer layout in 17:53.9 at the LaVern Gibson course in Terre Haute, Ind., after capturing her second Class AAA state title Nov. 7 in Hershey.
